
Who Am I?

Hey there. I'm Solomon, a 22 year old ISSA-certified personal trainer and West Anchorage High graduate. Despite my academic pursuits at Centre College (English and Creative Writing), fitness was the pastime that provided me with structure and purpose, whether it was distance running, team sports, or lifting weights. Seeing the impact fitness has had on my life inspired me to get certified and start helping others.
Though a desire for exercise was never in short supply for me, I discovered the price of an irresponsible approach to fitness during college. Debilitating injuries left me feeling disconnected from my body and afraid to do the things I love. It was only once I adopted an intentional, athletically-minded approach to training and nutrition that I began to not just survive, but thrive.
When I'm not training clients, you'll find me reading, writing, traveling, exercising, and spending quality time with friends and family.
My Mission
Anyone Can Be an Athlete
Let's face it: The vast majority of us never sprint, climb, tumble, or jump again after high school. But life becomes a lot easier when you're able to do these things with confidence. Remember how free you felt as a kid playing cops and robbers on the playground? Back when the only limit to your physical capabilities was your own imagination? While traditional strength training is incredibly valuable, improving your squat and bicep curl is not enough to restore your youth. I started Mid Athlete Fitness because I want to help create a world in which everyone has access to true movement freedom.

My Approach to Training
The Mid Athlete Method consists of seven key principles that will help you to both think and train like an athlete:
1. Find your narrative.
2. Unify your body.
3. Train the muscles you can't see.
4. Gamify your training.
5. Become strong AND speedy.
6. Recover like a pro.
7. Test your limits until you know them.
